Keeping you up-to-date on the US 18/151/Verona Road Project

Verona Road. One of the Madison areas most heavily traveled thoroughfares. One of fist-shaking, brake-pedaling, headache-causing, late-to-anything nightmares. At least until 2020, that is. Stay up-to-date by visiting a couple of websites gear-shifted (groan) to keep you informed.

Visit the Verona Road Business Coalition at http://www.veronaroad.info – The Verona Road Business Coalition (VRBC) is a volunteer group of Verona Road businesses and citizens concerned about the largest and longest urban road construction in the state.

Also check out WiDOT’s http://projects.511wi.gov/veronard/ for the complete project schedule.

And remember the road construction crews. Let’s keep them safe. We’re all in this traffic jam together.

Cinco de Mayo – A little history

Cinco de Mayo—or the fifth of May—commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). A relatively minor holiday in Mexico, in the United States Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. Cinco de Mayo traditions include parades, mariachi music performances and street festivals in cities and towns across Mexico and the United States.
