MPI Products Does Interior Renovations

MPI Products is a global leader in the technology of fineblanking.  Since 1969 MPI has grown steadily and is now a highly competent supplier of sophisticated components and subassemblies.  The Wisconsin Manufacturing Plant, WI Fineblanking, is located in Deerfield and is undergoing some updates to their plant.  Changes will include turning the existing locker rooms into a large break room.  The old break room will be converted into two offices and the lockers will be relocated into another part of the facility.  Engineered Construction is the general contractor for the renovations.  The work will be done in phases to limit the disruption to the facility.  The project began this week and is scheduled to be completed mid August.

Happy Independence Day From Engineered Construction

What It Means to Be an American…

To believe in the promise of a better tomorrow,
and stand united in our efforts to give a peaceful nation
to our children…

To honor each other’s differences and cherish the richness of our history,
even as it continues to unfold from sea to shining sea…

To love deeply our friends and family, day by day,
and never take for granted the privilege of calling ourselves American.

America —
we are more than a people, we are a family.

Happy 4th of July!

The Steensland House Is On The Move!!

As mentioned in previous posts, Engineered Construction is overseeing the relocation of the historic Steensland House. For the past 119 years the house has sat at 315 N. Carroll Street.  Tomorrow, the house will be placed on it’s new foundation right around the corner on West Gorham Street.

The project has created much buzz due to the historic nature of the home and the politics involved in moving a landmark. The Isthmus published an article last week about historic preservation in Madison that can be seen HERE.

Additionally, many people are simply fascinated by the process of picking up and relocating a structure of this size.  If you’re interested in seeing the progress or watching the house get moved, click HERE to check out the live webcam that was set up thanks to J&K Security Solutions.
